T'was the Night Before Christmas...

I knew this Christmas was going to be special because Gianna is at a fun age to experience the season. I learned many new things about my daughter on Christmas Eve.

1. The size of a candy cane is of no importance to Gianna.

2.) Her enthusiasm for opening gifts was short lived.

3.) She would rather spend her time exploring, especially when everyone else was gathered in another room.  (She's a smart one and chooses her activities wisely.)
4.) Christmas lights always capture her eye.

5.) We discovered she had a new passion for deviled eggs. She may have eaten 4 or 5 by the time dinner was finished...
6.) Her favorite activity by far was eating decadent chocolates and Christmas cookies.
I guess she does take after me.

7.) No surprise...she does not like being told what to do or in this case not do.  No one wants ABC Christmas cookies.
Can you see her tiny teeth marks?  She sampled every cookie with a Hershey kiss on the platter.

All in all we had a busy but wonderful Christmas eve!

'Tis the Season for Baking

I love to bake around the Holidays and was excited to have Gianna participate.

If by participate, you mean make a mess...then she was successful.

I think she liked her first baking day!

Celebrating Two Years with Gianna!

I can not believe it will be two years since I first held my baby Gianna!
We celebrated early with a Wonder Pets themed event because Gianna has a slight addiction to the show.

Teamwork! (Really, it took teamwork to make this cake...twice.)

Gianna loved that her friends joined in on the fun!

Its not hard to celebrate such a beautiful little girl!

Old Becomes New

Moo Maw had saved an old dress of mine from when I was two.

It looked brand new on our beautiful Gianna!

Autumn Leaves

This was Gianna's first leaf pile experience.

It quickly escalated to her least favorite fall moment.

Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza

Before trick-or-treating Gianna was introduced to the art of pumpkin carving.

Can you guess her first impression?  She did not enjoy the gooey seeds!

Have no fear, nothing a little chocolate can't fix! It totally changed her mood.

What's this!?

Look mom!

After a quick smell, came her undying affection for her pumpkin.

All in all, a successful Halloween!

Halloween Edition

This will be Gianna's first Halloween where she will be able to walk around and collect some candy.

Here's hoping for a tear free trick-or-treat adventure!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
